Bonjour,

My name is Patric Hollington and I’m an Irish ‘Parisian’ menswear designer, designing and manufacturing garments exclusively for men. Here in my boutique on the Paris Left Bank you will find all that the contemporary thinking man would desire to dress himself : jackets, trousers, suits, waistcoats, overcoats and over jackets, shirts, knitwear, plus a wide selection of accessories.

My philosophy
Customers from France and from far away frequent my boutique. There are some 14,000 on the mailing list. I try to produce garments that are comfortable, practical, and that have what I can only claim as ‘allure’ (aka style and elegance, not without sophistication). I place great emphasis on the quality of the cloths used. The jackets are ‘unconstructed’ which for the wearer means more comfort especially when associated with natural fibre fabrics.

My garments
The jackets usually have a comfortable fit, with straight forward lines of good architecture. I use ‘carpenter’ collars inspired by the jackets worn by the great 19th century artists - Victor Hugo and Rodin for example. There are also ‘Nehru’ collars that the renowned Indian leader inspired.

I have said that I place much emphasis on the practical comfort of the garments I sell. These include details such as numerous pockets which are really useful. An ‘ease of movement’ back pleat in most of my jackets adds to their comfort.

I would also like to underline the originality and quality of the fabrics. I travel a great deal to discover really interesting quality cloths. They come from England and Ireland, from here in France and from many good friends in Italy and even from as far off as India and Brazil. Texture, natural fibre, and again quality are the master words in fabric selection as I know they contribute so much to the satisfaction of my customers.

My customers
They are men who want to dress differently from the run of the mill conformity without going for gimmicks. Here in Paris and from abroad I seem to attract customers who are designers, architects, actors, writers and even some politicians. Then again there are also a large number of so called
regular ‘ordinary’ intelligent guys. Like you I hope. Men who buy and wear my garments do so to dress and express themselves differently from drab classicism and fashion slavery without going to the extremes of eccentric disguise.

So thank you for your interest and following me thus far. I very much hope that this will tempt you to drop in to my rue Racine boutique here on the Paris Left Bank.

Looking forward to seeing you,

Patric Hollington
